Type: worm

Description: W32.Stator is a mass-mailing worm program. It spreads by email as an attachment named photo1.jpg.pif. It renames specific Windows programs so that they have a file extension of .vxd, and it then uses the original file names for duplicate copies of the worm itself. Once the virus has installed itself onto a computer it displays an image of a young woman.
